Check out this serious progress for #MotivationalMonday. The amazing client in the video, Nick, had a stroke when he was 14 years old. Now at 25 he is not settling for a weaker left side. The first video was taken in August just about 7 months ago. In that time Nick Giangreco has been working hard with Meghann on scapular stability, spinal mobility, and upper body strength. He also goes to a great OT....Oh and we almost forgot, he is completing a PhD at Columbia University.
**Note in the first video Nick is using a sling with short heavy (red) springs to help support most of his weight and Meghann had to hold his left hand to keep it connected to the box. In the second video NOTHING is assisting him, well except for Meg's snarky cues and adjustments.
His progress is remarkable and we are excited to see what he can will continue to accomplish. To learn more about how to work with people with neurological conditions join Mariska and Meghann for one of our Pilates for Neurological Conditions 3 Day Courses. Sign up here: http://bit.ly/2GfXjFc
We are also excited to offer a 2 Day Advanced Neuro Training Course June 2-3 in New Jersey and June 30- Jul 1 & July 7-8 in Australia which will focus more on hands on technique. You must complete the 3 day course or have approval from Mariska or Meghann. Email email@example.com if you are interested. Full course schedule will be announced soon.
Filmed at Kinected in NYC.
